A really romantic, relaxing and spacious cottage. It has a galleried bedroom overlooking a large living room in the centre of which is a log burner on a stone plinth. The bathroom is large enough to contain a five piece suite (i.e. bath, seperate shower, and bidet). Furnishings and fittings are of the highest standard. Exposed stone and beams galore. The floor of the lounge is polished stone flags (with quality rugs in appropriate places) and a log burner with stone surround is a focal feature in the middle of the room. Some of the stone walls are exposed, as are the extensive wood beams.

The cottage has a patio with views not dissimilar to that of the ariel view that will be seen on the home page of our own web site. We can not be modest, this must be one of the best two person cottages in the Peaks, and yet with a superb location to boot! It is that popular that there has not been one empty week in over 6 years and last there were only six empty days in the whole years, and never of more than one nights duration - i.e. just caused by turnarounds in the winter season. Despite being therefore one of the most sought after cottages in the Peak District, we have in 2012 just added a sun room to take advantage of the fantastic views from the patio area, making it an even better cottage, -yet we have not increased the rentals.

This cottage and five further cottages at Cotterill farm are situated amongst gloriously rolling countryside with attractive views down various dales. We are located between the highly popular village of Hartington and its smaller, quieter neighbour, Biggin. We are surrounded on three sides by a nature reserve through which a footpath runs on its way down to the River Dove. Dovedale is just a short distance downstream.There are footpaths adn bridleways in alll directons on our doorstep. Also three cycle trails within three miles.

Every year, we are constantly increasing the amount of services provided, such that the cottage now has full sky programmes, (film and sports package and sky 'plus'), wifi, access to a freezer where excellent ready made meals are sold at snsible prices, bicycle hire at one half the cost charged by commercial operators, even one electric bike is available for hire.
