Manifold Cottage, one of three holiday cottages in a private courtyard in the heart of the acclaimed village of Hartington, has been converted from an old barn and now exudes a modern ambience internally, despite a recent upgrading having exposed further charachter features, including various original beams. Graded at the higher end of four star

It has a coal effect stove in the living areas, full SKY programmes, wifi, video and DVD; fully controllable central heating throughout, leather settees and leather chairs, fully equipped modern kitchen with gloss work-tops and real granite sink, fridge-freezer, micro-wave, ceramic topped electric cooker (far more controllable for cooking than traditional electric cookers) and plenty of original old beams and other interesting features. Being in the courtyard, ist is exceptionally quiet. There is provision for parking of one car in the courtyard. Manifold Cottage can have a single bed added to the double bed, giving the option of sleeping three in a room or alternatively, using as two singles. Both beds have extra thick mattresses and there is a second tv in the bedroom

Hartington is famous for its duck pond, and Old Hall but is equally popular by reason of it being the start of numerous walks in the best park of the Peak District. A footpath yards from the cottages takes you over some lovely meadows to reach the River Dove after 300 yards. Downstream is Dovedale. Three cycle/old railiway tracks within 3 miles. Hundreds of Peak District attractions in all directions The village is famous for its duck pond and cheese shop.. There is also a fine Norman church, and a magnificent Jacobean Youth Hostel. Being a honey pot village much frequented to visitors to the area, there are extensive facilities, such as two grocers, newsagents, gift shops, two excellent coaching inns and two cafes

Standards of housekeeping are second to none, reflected in an almost unheard of 100% under the cleaning section of the official troust board grading system.

10 detailed highly organsized and personalized information folder in the cottage. There are more attractions within 30 minutes of this part of the Peak District than anywhere else in the UK. .
