Phepson, a small sheep farm with a 1½ acre Coarse Fishing Lake, is ideally situated for both the business traveller and those with more time to explore the many delights on offer in the Heart of England. This conversion of the Old Granary is reached by an outside stone staircase leading up to a stable door which opens onto a lovely fitted kitchen and dining area. The lounge has original beams, colour TV, sofa bed and fitted carpets. The large enclosed garden has patio furniture and a barbecue. This light and airy apartment is double-glazed throughout, and has views across to Goosehill Wood. At the far end of the lounge, a door leads to the double bedroom complete with fitted wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. The Granary is a cosy retreat for two, with views looking out over Goosehill Wood in the distance. The large garden has patio furniture and a BBQ is available on request. When you arrive at The Granary, a welcome pack of fruit, local confectionary and tea & coffee will be there to await you after your journey.
A short walk down the Lane Field brings you to our 1½ acre coarse fishing lake. The lake is set in tranquil surroundings, overlooked by nearby Goosehill Wood. It follows a crooked `L` shape with two large islands, and has 6 secluded pitches. It is well stocked with carp, bream, roach and rudd. This is an ideal place to escape, whether you choose to enjoy a full days fishing or simply a few hours relaxing on the banks. Our wildlife walk passes by the fishing lake, making it the perfect spot to take a break or enjoy a tasty picnic. Day tickets are priced at 5 pounds. Weekly tickets are also available. The Cathedral City of Worcester is barely 7 miles away, and historic Droitwich Spa, with its undulating high street, is just a short 4 mile drive. Malvern, The Cotswolds, The Severn Valley Railway, and many more are within easy reach of our central location. A five mile drive to the M5, (giving superb access to the midlands' motorways - NEC 30 minutes), belies the peace and tranquillity of Phepson Farm. Guests are welcome to walk on the farm, from where they can join the Wychavon Way, which passes nearby. Well behaved pets allowed. |
