The Captain's House is situated on one of Appledore's finest street which is in a Conservation Area and is just 70 yards from the quayside. The property has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and is light and spacious. The accommodation covers three floors with views of the estuary from some of the rooms. Outside there is a private, sunny south facing courtyard garden with table and chairs to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

The accommodation comprises of a lounge/diner with a TV, video, DVD and CD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with freezer, washing maching, dishwasher and microwave. There are 3 large bedrooms (two of which are doubles and one is a twin room). There is also a large loft room which has additional sleeping capacity. All bed linen is supplied. The cottage has an internet connection and free calls to UK landlines.

Appledore is an old fishing village situated on the North Devon coast. The village is full of charm with narrow lanes and a number of pubs, shops and galleries. There is a good range of local facilities including a general store, patisserie/tea rooms and highly commended local chip shop. Step out of the house and enjoy views across the Torridge estuary to Instow.

Try crabbing on Appledore Quay or visit the North Devon Maritime Museum. Sea Fishing trips daily or enjoy walking along South West Coastal Path with its amazing scenery. Walk or cycle the Tarka Trail and for a host of activities including surfing, kayaking and high ropes - Skerne Lodge Activity Centre. Play golf at England’s oldest links golf course on Northam Burrows.
