Delightful character cottage pleasantly situated in open countryside overlooking fields where sheep and cows graze, yet only fifteen minutes walk from the centre of the picturesque market town of Pickering, with its Famous Steam Railway & superb indoor Swimming Pool. The North York Moors are but a few minutes drive away. This is a 1 bedroomed single storey cottage with private garden to front with garden furniture & BBQ: Ground floor - Spacious sitting room with open beamed ceiling and a stone fireplace with living flame gas fire also dining area and kitchen with dishwasher etc. One double bedroom with depending on preference a king size bed or two singles; bathroom with w.c. hand basin and bath with shower. Easy walking access The cottage kitchen is fitted out in traditional pine and is fully equipped and include filter coffee maker, toaster, microwave, fridge freezer as well as conventional oven. The cottage is, also, fitted out to the highest standard of comfort with central heating and double glazing throughout. It is spacious and has been tastefully decorated with coordinated quality fabrics and wood work in teak. Pickering which has retained its local character and friendly, unhurried way of life. Here you will find a Medieval castle, a Railway Station as well as a superb indoor swimming pool and good local pubs serving real ale and tasty regional dishes for you to enjoy. Pickering station is the start of the North York Moors Steam railway which wends its way through “Heartbeat” country and where some of the “Harry Potter” movie scenes were located. A short distance away there is heather clad moorland, rolling hills, woodland and forest providing spectacular countryside teeming with wildlife excellent for both walking and touring. The Vale of Pickering nestles between Yorkshires scenic heritage coast of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby with its sandy beaches and towering cliffs and the Historic City of York with its ancient city walls, narrow cobbled streets and York Minster. The area also contains many fine buildings set In spectacular scenery including Castle Howard, Duncombe Park also the majestic ruins of Rievaulx and Whitby Abbey. Within a short drive from the cottages, you can enjoy visiting stately homes and castles, horse racing, theme parks and zoo, golf, fishing, museums, working farms and breweries, in fact something for everybody whatever the weather.
